A Notary Public, Public Notary or Notary are all descriptions of a public officer, usually a practising solicitor or attorney, who is appointed for life by a State Supreme Court and given statutory powers to:

  • Witness Signatures to international documents, such as Powers of Attorney, Affidavits, Deeds, Agreements and all other commercial and private documents required for use overseas
  • Certify Documents including original ASIC, business, personal or educational documents required for use in overseas countries
  • Draft Notarial Certificates attaching multiple copied documents thereto to diminish the cost of notarising copied documents individually
  • Obtain Apostille Certificates from the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade (DFAT) certifying the seals and signatures of Notaries
  • Arrange Legalisation or Authentication of original Australian public documents at foreign Embassies or Consulates in Australia, for countries not members of the Hague Convention.
