Colin Goldrick is mainly involved in the areas of Biotech/Pharmaceutical , Information & Communications Technology (ICT) and Intellectual Property (IP) at Goldrick Farrell Mullan.
He has extensive experience in corporate and commercial matters from both a legal and industry perspective. Prior to becoming a lawyer in 1996, Colin worked primarily in the ICT industry for 13 years, holding a variety of positions from technical support to sales, sales management and business unit management. He has also worked as a strategic management consultant within the business consultancy group of Computer Sciences Corporation, focusing on business re-engineering and change management.
As a lawyer, he has worked at Corrs Chambers Westgarth and Griffith Hack Lawyers prior to joining Goldrick Farrell Mullan in 2003. He has provided corporate and commercial services to both private and public sector clients and acts as an advisor to the ICT industry.
In addition to his broad experience across a wide range of corporate and commercial transactional matters, Colin has particular expertise in assisting in the development and commercialisation of new technology, including international licensing, fund raising and research and development of joint ventures and other arrangements. He is currently a legal advisor to Giaconda Limited, recently ASX-listed pharmaceutical company.
Colin is a member of the Licensing Executives Society and is active in a number of other industry organizations. He is based at the firm’s Sydney office but attends the Newcastle office regularly to interview clients.

- Bachelor of Computer Science and Bachelor of Laws
- Worked in the ICT and related industries from 1983 - 1996.
- Admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 1996.
